Overview

Samsung Financial C-Lab Outside" is
an open collaboration program jointly operated by Samsung Financial Networks and Samsung Venture Investment to foster collaboration with startups.

Samsung launched the ‘Samsung Financial Networks’ brand in 2022 to enhance synergy among its financial affiliates,
strengthen expertise, expand the financial ecosystem, and shape the future vision of finance.

In 2024, as part of an initiative to expand Samsung Electronics’ ‘C-Lab Outside’ into the financial sector,
the program was renamed to ‘Samsung Financial C-Lab Outside’ from ‘Samsung Financial Open Collaboration’ to further
strengthen startup support and collaboration.

Samsung Financial C-Lab Outside introduces key challenges in financial innovation,
inviting startups to propose new solutions and business models based on their ideas and technologies.

Once a proposal is selected, executives and employees of Samsung Financial Networks work closely
with the startup to refine and develop a new business model together.

       - Propose strategies to strengthen insurance sales, including support for FC (Financial Consultant) activities and training, branch meeting/lecture support, activation of group insurance and non-face-to-face channels, and consumer protection.

    □ FC Sales Activity Support Solutions

       - Recommend FC scheduling and routing by automatically sorting and suggesting the optimal customer visit order (considering the shortest distance, meeting time, etc.).

       - Automatically recommend and suggest next tasks by analyzing memos or activity data logged by FCs.

       - Support FC activities, such as executing online marketing consent forms by tagging a customer's smartphone on a wearable NFC card lanyard.

       - Streamline group insurance contract maintenance tasks, such as the automatic modification/registration of insured individuals, and propose B2B services for corporate clients.

       - Classify the attributes of customers who drop off during the insurance subscription stage on the Direct site, and provide conversational guides to counselors for follow-up marketing calls.

       - Detect and prevent voice phishing situations involving customers through facial/voice recognition technologies.

       - Assist call center operations by extracting and analyzing context and intent from customer speech to detect product preferences or negative signals during consultations.

       - Understand and analyze customer requirements (text) in calls and chats to recommend optimal loan products and automatically suggest execution/repayment schedules.

    □ Automatic Derivation of Subscription/Claim Underwriting Standards Based on Insurance Terms

       - Automatically generate insurance policies and cross-verify terms and policies based on payment rationale and payment standard tables of insurance terms using AI technology.

       - Generate and structure insurance payment underwriting rules based on Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).

       - Automatically generate meaning-centric chunks during document preprocessing, express relationships in a graph format, or attach metadata to improve internal search accuracy.

    □ Establishing Evaluation/Observation Infrastructure for AI Adoption in Finance

       - Visualize, track, and monitor an agent's autonomous judgments and behavioral paths, and develop an evaluation framework for multi-agent environments.

       - Propose mechanisms to analyze the root cause when errors or hallucinations occur and automatically reflect this in a feedback loop to enable self-correction of behavior.

       - Propose a virtuous capital cycle model and data analysis plan to prevent the external outflow of paid insurance claims and encourage automatic reinvestment into Security Token Offerings (STOs) and funds.

       - Maximize Customer Lifetime Value (LTV) based on whole-life insurance liquidation data (e.g., at retirement), discover new selling points linked with asset management products, and derive upselling strategies.

    □ Smart Contract/Oracle-based Parametric Data Integration Solutions

       - Build an Oracle integration system that collects medical (diagnosis codes) and public external data in real-time and cross-verifies data integrity.

       - Design an automated insurance logic that instantly pays out claims via smart contracts without requiring the customer to file a claim (Zero-Claim process), based on the collected objective indicators.
